"All the party people dancing
For the indie star.
But he is the worst faker,
By far!"

The impostor syndrome is a psychological pattern in which one doubts one's accomplishments and has a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as a "fraud".
Self-doubt can strike anyone in any industry, but creatives in particular are closely associated with images of internal conflict.
As an artist you often oscillate between arrogance and self-doubt.
You can wake up in the morning feeling that you’re a genius and go to bed in the evening considering yourself an impostor. The irony is that the deeper you dive into your art career, the more opportunities there are for impostor syndrome to bubble up inside you.
And, trust me, the feeling of inadequacy can be very intense.
Especially when your ambition is to perform a Bach toccata or a Mozart fantasia from memory,
as a self-taught musician, with no formal education.
Impostore at Piano! is a musical happening which explores the complicated dance of self-perception
between brilliance and imposture, mastery and forgery, genius and pretender.
A self-ironic show, fragmented by execution errors and burlesque interludes.
A musical-performative project by Valerius Borcos (founder of the synth-pop duo K not K)
and Corina Sucarov (actress, model, singer, composer at +S.H.E.+)
